RTL Level Verification

  • Approach: We use a verification methodology called SV-UVM, which stands for SystemVerilog Universal Verification Methodology.
  • Test Suites: We have test suites written in both C and System Verilog (SV).
  • Verification Environment: Our testing environment is designed to check the functionality and features of the system. We focus on ensuring that the system behaves as expected.
  • Power-Aware Testing: We also consider power aspects in our testing using formats like UPF (Unified Power Format) or CPF (Common Power Format).

Netlist Level Verification

  • Methodology: We employ a method called "Shift-left," which means we start testing at an earlier stage, specifically using the synthesized netlist for cleaning purposes.
  • Testing Focus: Our testing includes specific test cases and a suite for gate-level simulation, where we check the system at a more detailed level.
  • Power-Aware Timing Simulations: We also simulate the system at the gate level, considering power aspects and timing.
  • Boot-Loader Simulation: We simulate the system boot-loader with the final firmware to ensure everything works together as intended.

Post-Silicon Support

  • Quick Reproduction: If an issue arises in the actual silicon (hardware), our verification environment helps us quickly reproduce and understand the problem.
  • Debugging Capabilities: We have full debugging capabilities for both analog and mixed signal blocks using an AMS (Analog and Mixed Signal) environment. This helps us identify and solve issues in the hardware.
